Upholstery Evening Class
Ever thought of having a go at Upholstery? Finally tackling that old chair that has been forever in the attic?
In my small class you can reupholster or recover a bedroom chair, footstool or dining room chair. I will show you how to calculate the materials, strip and repair the chair and recover in traditional or modern technique.
The chairs can have a maximum size of a small parker knoll armchair as the access is restricted.
If in any doubt you can get in touch with a picture to clarify if the chair is suitable for the class. In case of a bigger project, you might need two terms to complete.
During the term you are welcome to leave the chairs in my studio but if you consider working on your furniture in-between sessions you would need to take it home.
The hire of the tools is included, I will provide you with everything needed including a pneumatic staple gun.
I recommend bringing protective gloves and a dust face mask to the class, upholstery can be messy!
Any upholstery materials needed and the fabric to recover are not included in the cost of the course but are either available in my studio or I will help to source. There is also the possibility to purchase the tool kit at the end of the term.
The classes have got 5 sessions of 3 hours on a Tuesday evening, 5.30 until 8.30 pm and the cost is £150.
Join our new upholstery class starting Saturday, September 28th, from 2 PM to 4.30 PM!
Over four engaging sessions, you'll learn the art of upholstery for just £100.
Please note that only smaller furniture is suitable, and items must be taken home after each session. Don't miss this opportunity to transform your skills and create beautiful pieces. Sign up today!
